The 2nd process is detailed Review and Initiation of Security Clearance process. Health will have a look that you complete the assessment of the application to ensure that it meets the requirements of the Regulations, you have established that the issuance of the license is not likely to create risks to public health, safety or security, including the risk of cannabis being diverted to an illicit market or use; and Establish that there are no other grounds for refusing the application. Your application will be reviewed thoroughly so that it meets the standards to take health Canada. When you are applying for license to produce medical marijuana under ACMPR, a Security Clearance Application form must be submitted for the following individuals:

1. The proposed senior person in charge;
2. The proposed responsible person in charge;
3. The proposed alternate responsible person(s) in charge (if applicable);
4. If a producer's license is issued to an individual, that individual; and,
5. If a producer's license is issued to a corporation, each officer and director of the corporation.

Once Health Canada confirms that the requirements of the ACMPR have been met, and the application successfully completes the Detailed Review and Security Clearance stage, a license to produce will be issued. The 4th part is the Introductory Inspection. When the terms and conditions are fulfilled by health Canada, the licensed Producer is required to notify the health Canada as the cultivation begins. Once notified, health Canada will schedule an initial inspection to verify that the licensed producer is meeting the requirements of ACMPR including, but not limited to the physical security requirements for the site. The producer should also maintain the record keeping service, Good Production Practices and to confirm the activities being conducted by the licensed producer correspond to those indicated on their license.

While you submitted an application, you will be going through all these steps.
